In war, there is no substitute for victory.

- Dwight D. Eisenhower

Dear Agents,

Got motivation?

At the risk of sounding like a broken record: START TURNING IN REPORTS! We have talked to many of you and know that you are 100% committed to finishing the task before you, even though life right now is crazy. Some of you already have a few points racked up; nice work! Some advice for all of you: do not stack up reports with the intention of turning them in all at once. Just turn them in. It is much easier to process reports if we get them in small doses. Also, keep an eye on the website and on the point total side bar in this email. If a few weeks go by and your points haven't changed even though you have sent things in, contact Elizabeth at amleague@ssi-online.org to make sure that we received those reports.

Today I want to talk less about the assignments and reports and getting it done and more about where your focus lies. Are you focusing, first and foremost, on God? And are you doing all of your work to serve and glorify and learn about him?

All of the determination and excellence in the world won't help you unless God is the first thing in your line of vision. It's so easy to let things like prayer and Bible study slide because we're busy. When work and school and all our daily responsibilities stack up, we say to ourselves, "God understands. I'll get to it later." It goes without saying that 'later' rarely comes. Make Him your habit, and let Him make Himself your passion. After that, He'll see to it that everything else falls into place.

That's part of what the Ambassador League is all about. We're not just interested in you getting involved in civics and coming from a Christian point of view. We're interested in you growing in your faith and getting closer to God. Don't do this for recognition from men, from the people around you. Do it because of the eternal consequences and do all for the glory of God.

I encourage you to take some extra time today to and spend it in prayer and God's Word. Get your motivation from Him and His great love for you, fueling your desire to serve Him with everything that you are and in everything that you do!

Carpe diem!
