Tactics Misson: Promote SSI
When wondering how I could help promote SSI, I immediately thought of the Generation Joshua Club of which I am a member. Generation Joshua is a club for teenagers who are interested in politics, so they were a wonderful bunch of guinea pigs. I was able to show them a promotional video and also hand out brochures. They all responded very well and I was asked many questions.
Erin McKay gave me another chance to help with SSI's promotion when she invited me to speak for a few minutes in several of Teenworks classes. I eagerly accepted her invitation, and the two of us handed out many brochures.
Promoting SSI was actually quite a fun project for two very good reasons. First of all, I was promoting something that I had actually enjoyed and knew that others would enjoy. Secondly, because I was able to give a little impromptu speech on my SSI experience, encouraging other people to come.
