You're walking through the grocery store with your little boy, and you pass a pair of homosexual males holding hands, and then on your way out, you see a pair of lesbians kissing each other good bye. Now you have the responsibility to explain to your two children what was going on with "those crazy people!"
The Merriam Webster online dictionary defines marriage as: "the state of being united to a person of the opposite sex as husband or wife in a consensual and contractual relationship recognized by law." It also defines homosexuality as: "erotic activity with another of the same sex." The only substance homosexuality has legally is purely sexual; the pleasure does not last long but the consequences do.
Genesis 2:24-25 says, "Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed." God was making it perfectly clear why he did not create Adam and Steve as they say! Marriage is to be between one man and one woman end of story!
Hebrew 13:4 says, "Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge." God does not like sin, and homosexuality is definitely a sin. These people are asking for trouble. So many things can come from being homosexual, or even pretending to be! Diseases and AIDS are just SOME of the consequences!
Romans 1:26-27 Paul is very specific, "For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet."
In 1 Corinthians 6:9, Paul wrote, "Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind."
As Christians, we have a very different view on this issue than the world that teaches tolerance. However the Bible is our solid evidence that God did not create us to be homosexual, and He does NOT like it! He still loves everyone the same amount, however, if they want to play with fire they can have it, but I am not going to.
Remember what your little boy witnesses in the grocery store? Well you sat down with them later and had to tell them, regardless of if they were ready or not. "Some times a girl thinks she's in love with another girl, or a boy thinks he is in love with another boy. But honey that is so wrong! Jesus created us to love each other as brothers and sisters, but we only fall in love with girls, and girls fall in love with boys. That was God's plan from the Garden. We need to remember that!"
