The following student report was submitted by Ambassador League Agent Hannah K. during the 2007-2008 League.

My experience at SSI was something that I will not soon forget! When I knew that was able to attend SSI I was very excited to say the least. I had been wishing to go for a few years, so in a lot of ways it was a dream come true.

When we arrived at the Great Lakes Christian College Campus I was very excited and a little nervous at the same time. I wasn't sure how everything would turn out during the week, with speaking and the packed schedule that they had prepared for us!

When I heard Mr. Muffett and Jeff Visscher speak for the first time, I was VERY thrilled, and I knew right off that I would have a BLAST during the next few days!!

After taking the oath of office officially making us State Representatives and Senators, we ate at the Café and then got settled in our rooms. During dinner we all were supposed to read the bills that we were supporting. My bill was Abstinence Education; I also had Motorcycles and Helmet Laws to oppose.

During the next few days I was able to learn more on both of the bills I was given. It was a tremendous learning experience and I was able to understand how government works to a greater degree then before.

The thing that probably blessed me the most throughout the week was the Worship Service each night. It was simply AWESOME to be able to draw closer to Him through those times! I also enjoyed listening to all of the different speakers that were chosen for each Worship night; what each one said was a big encouragement to me!

Mr. Muffett, Mr. Lennie Mailand, and Mrs. DeeDee Briski were among those speakers who really ministered to me during the regular sessions.

Mr. Muffett taught us the importance of having a Biblical Foundation, about having a destiny in God's Kingdom, and many more things that I couldn't even hope to put down on paper. I really appreciate what he said, and a lot of it will stick with me for a long time!

Mr. Mailand taught me the importance in having a Biblical Worldview, and he also showed us the other views that people in the world hold today. His sessions were packed with information and I was able to learn a lot from him!

Mrs. Briski was an excellent speaker, showing the contrast between Evolution and Creation with such clearness and well researched points that you couldn't make a mistake between what was the truth, and what was a lie! Everything she said was a big encouragement, and an enormous blessing as well.

The ADC's (aide-de-camp) and Chaperones were also a gigantic help to all of us! Their assistance when we were in tough spots was much appreciated! They also did an awesome job in putting together different skits that got across a point across while also getting everyone to laugh!

In conclusion I would like to say that SSI was a huge learning experience that not only taught me about government: but that I can make a difference, if I only follow in the footsteps of my Lord and Savior! It's a lesson that I will never forget!!

I definitely plan on returning for another fun filled, information packed, and spiritually uplifting week of SSI! Thanks for all you do!
