God's Mercy

God's mercy is just like wind, we feel it every time we walk outside but we can't see it. That's exactly how God's mercy works; we feel it blow by us and we see the changes that it leaves behind but we can never see it. For instance, you have lost your job and you haven't any money, to buy Christmas presents for your children. Somehow, on Christmas day you wake up to find toys left on your front porch for your children. Some people might call it luck but I call it God's mercy. Your only child; your son was killed in a shooting. Three months pass since his death; you receive a phone call it's your sons girl friend telling you that you have a grandson. Some might call it luck but I call it God's Mercy.

Romans-Chapters 9:15-17
15 "For he says to Moses, "I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion. 16 It does not, therefore, depend on man's desire or effort, but on God's mercy. 17 For the scripture says to pharaoh: "I raised you up for this very purpose, that I might display my power in you and that my name may be proclaimed in all the earth".

God doesn't have mercy on us to meet or needs or pleasures. He has mercy on us to display to others the good they may be blessed with if they become believers of Him.

Romans-Chapters 12:1-2 1 "Therefore I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God-this is your spiritual act of worship. 2 Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is-His good pleasing and perfect will".
In order to show God that you appreciate His mercy you have to sacrifice your body and your mind. You have to renew yourself in order to follow the ways of the Lord and not the ways of the world.

2 Corinthians-Chapters 4:1-3 1"Therefore, since through God's mercy we have this ministry, we do not loose heart. 2 Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do commend ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. 3 And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing".

God's sacrifice of His only son is what saved us from our sins; His sacrifice is also what allows us to worship and have ministry. So the only reason we as Christians are allowed to worship is because of God's mercy on us.
