Nature of a man
In today's society men are seen as deceitful characters who have been labeled liars, thieves, and adulterers. Because of these so called labels men are now limited to the amount of trust they have with their spouses. Society's perception of men has caused men themselves to believe they have to be macho and untrustworthy characters.
"Put your hands up in the air," this is a stick up." Frequently on the local news this seems to be the nature of a man revealed to thousands.
Genesis-Chapters 1:27
"So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them."
God created men and women in his image; he sculpted our bodies and provided us with the intelligence we are equipped with today. The nature of man is not to transform the image of God in to what we believe is the appropriate image with the help of others, technology, and etc. After God gave us our image he didn't tell us to adulterate it by cutting, tattooing, and piercing it; however that doesn't stop individuals from destroying the image of God. Everyday millions of people waste thousands of dollars on a variety of different plastic surgeries. They despise of Gods image because society constantly stresses that the image that God has created for us isn't a beautiful one. Well the nature of man also isn't allowing the talk of others to lead you down the path of sin. Furthermore anything created through the hands of God doesn't need changing because it is already made beautiful.
Romans- Chapters 8:3
"For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the sinful nature, God did by sending his own son in the likeness of sinful man to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in a sinful man."
God gave away his only son to save man from his sins. He cared for man so much that He gave his only son as an offering to save man; people just don't understand how significant that is. Just because God gave the amazing gift of Jesus doesn't make it all right for a man to continue committing the same sins repeatedly.
1-Chapters 6:6-7
"Your boasting is not good. Don't you know that a little yeast works through the whole batch of dough?" 7 get rid of the old yeast so that you may be a new batch without yeast-but as you really are."
You can't become a new man unless you release yourself of your old sins and begin your new life. It is time for men today to change the perception of society and show everyone that we are not thieves; liars, and adulteresses. Men don't have to get rid of their macho appearance but as a man I believe that it's safe to say that it is time to get rid of the attitude that goes along with it. In order to have a change every one has to cease with their ego's and become real men.
