Mission: Tactics - SSI Promotion

To promote SSI, I showed my World History II class at Teenworks the SSI promotional video and passed out brochures to all the students. Teenworks is a co-op/tutoring group that offers classes and other activities for homeschoolers. Because SSI does an onsite there every year and I frequently try to get my friends to go to SSI with me every summer, I thought that nearly everyone there had either gone to SSI or heard of it. I was very surprised when I was wrong. Promoting SSI to my World History class was, at the time, pretty much my only option. So I did it expecting that everyone already knew what SSI was and had gone. After I showed them the video, our tutor, Mr. Mailand, who speaks during the SSI summer program, asked how many of the students had gone to SSI. A few of my friends in my class knew what it was, however I was really surprised how hardly any of them had ever gone to SSI. I then had the great opportunity to talk to them about why I think SSI is so incredibly important, why I love it, and encourage them to go this summer.
