Mission: Research - Sanctity of Life

Every life has great value to God.

God created everything, including unborn babies, as it says in Psalm 95:1-7. We need to take care of everything God has made. Not only do we need to take care of Gods creation we need to tell others to protect the unborn also. God doesn't make mistakes, so it should be very clear that every life has a purpose for living. Like in Isaiah 45: 9-12 it says that we have no right to question God. God knew what was going to happen in our life long before we were born.

It blows my mind that God knew everything about us before we were even born. In Jeremiah 1:4-5 it says that God chose everything about us while we were in our mother’s womb. God not only knew our names, but had a plan for our whole life. How amazing is that? But the thing is unfortunately, we are sinful as soon as we are born. Psalm 51:5 talks about how David was sinful from birth. In Genesis 25:21-28 it reveals that Jacob and Esau’s personalities were already developing in the womb.

It amazes me how anyone can get an abortion and it is no big deal to most people. The Bible tells us otherwise. It talks about it in so many In different places in Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Proverbs it says that if you take an innocent life you must be put to death, pay a fine, be stoned, ignore that person, send him away or if none of those, they will experience God's hatred. As believers we need to stand up for innocent life. We need to speak for those who cannot speak, defend the rights of those who have nothing and speak and judge fairly. In Daniel 11:32b it says we need to be strong and fight back. In Deuteronomy It says that the baby should not die because of the parent’s mistake.

God had some awesome things planned for some of the people in the Bible. For example, Galatians 1:15 talks about the special plan God had for Paul to preach the gospel to gentiles. God tells us in Luke 1:14-15 about John the Baptist and how he was going to bring joy, gladness, happiness and that he was going to be a great man for the lord and that from birth he would be filled with the Holy Spirit. The most incredible of all was about Jesus in Matthew 1:20-21 and how he would save the world, how incredible is that?

Human life is so valuable to Christ because we are His temple and He created us. God loved us so much that he sent his one and only son. God no’s knows us better than anyone could ever know us, he even knows how many hairs each one of us have on our heads. It doesn’t matter how old, young or what you look like, He loves you. No matter what.

Children are so precious to God, he tells everyone that they should be like a child. in Matthew 18:1-14 God tells us that God wants us to have child-like humbleness. We are told in Deuteronomy 6:4-7 that we are to teach children what God has taught us so they can grow up to please God in everything they do. In Matthew 19:13-15 the disciples were trying to take children away from Jesus and he said no, he wanted to spend time with them.

Being a Christian is never easy but God tells us many times in the Bible how we should treat our fellow man as a Christian. Matthew 22:36-40 it says we need to love the Lord our God with all our hearts, that we need to love our neighbor as ourselves. Romans 13:8-10 says that we need to love others; If we do we will be obey the law. Galatians 5:14 it tells us that the whole law is summed up in one sentence “love your neighbor as yourself”. In Leviticus 19:14 God talks about the disabled but it says that God says He made the disabled, so really there is absolutely nothing wrong with them. Exodus 4:10-12 says that God knew what he was doing so we have no right to question what he has created.

Our bodies belong to God so we need to honor him with our bodies. We also need to be careful who we hang around with because others might cause us to fall away from God or do something with our bodies that would displease God. In our culture "everyone else does it" is heard over and over and we think just because "everyone else is doing it" that makes it right. God tells us in Exodus 23:2a that just because everyone else is doing it doesn’t make it right at all. If we do find ourselves self's in bad circumstances God does offer some encouragement: Genesis 50:20 states that God turns our evil into good. In Romans 8:28, God will work for the good for those who love him.

I am amazed at how much we selfish humans mean to God. Before we are even born, God knows all the mistakes we will make in our life time and He still loves us. THAT is unconditional love. Everyone's life has great value and we can not ever forget that, no matter what anyone regardless of what they look like or act like. God loves us all, flaws and all. Even when we mess up, he encourages us to come back to Him. As Christians we need to get out in the world and fight and stand firm for what we believe. We need to stand for LIFE. whether standing against abortions or any little thing we can do will help in the long run.
