Mission: Research - Lordship of Christ

Lord, God, Creator, Sustainer, Savior, Jehovah, merciful, gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love, forgiving of sins, I AM, Adonai ... the list could go on forever! Deep within, whether acknowledged or not, every man knows there is ONE TRUE GOD. Creation cries out His name with its beauty and vastness. Psalm 97:5a: The Mountains melt like wax before the LORD. All things are in God's plan. To deny it is foolish. It says in Psalm 114:7 that the earth trembles in the presence of the Lord. God is the beginning, the end and the middle. In John 8:58 Jesus says, "Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am." God's power and magnificence is beyond our comprehension. Through the entire Bible, God is always there, helping, providing, protecting. In the Bible, God only asks us to do one thing: to surrender ourselves fully in obedience to Him. Matthew 6:33: but seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness. To surrender, you must completely and fully give up your life to the work of the Lord. You must let go of all earthly things and live for one HOLY AMBITION. Mat 6:19 "Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. It is nothing to only say you have surrendered yourself to the Lordship of Christ; you must prove that His desires are your desires through your actions and every aspect of your life. Luke 14:33: So therefore, any one of you who does not renounce all that he has cannot be my disciple.

Once a person has learned and embraced the Lordship of Christ it, is now his duty to obey. Mat 7:24, "Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. God's ultimate desire is to tell the world of Him. "Shine", as it says in Matthew 5:16. In doing this we must lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, Hebrews 12:1-2. With all that Christ has done for us, the least we can do in return is to offer our lives to Him as His hands and feet. The easiest mistake to make in obeying Christ is to stray from the path. Eph 5:15: Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Philippians 4:8 says we must stay focused with our minds on wholesome things not letting even the slightest thing distract us. In every decision, come to the Lord in prayer or through the Bible. He has the answers to all questions and knows His plans. As it says in Colossians 3:23-24, whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ. God's desire is for us to obey him, accept his dominion over us, embrace His lordship and live it out every day.
