Mission: Tactics - Promote SSI
I decided to promote the Student Statesmanship Institute to my youth group at First Baptist Church in St. Johns. So Sunday morning, February 15 I and some friends showed the video at the beginning of our Sunday school class. There were a lot of faces that the youth group recognized in the video which gave a positive outlook about SSI. After the video my brother went to the front and talked about his experience at both the SSI summer program and the on-site program. Not everyone asked for a brochure, but many responded well and seemed very interested in the program. We found that five or six people had already been to SSI and really enjoyed their experience there. Overall promoting SSI was not as hard as I thought it would be and actually seemed to spark quite a bit of interest in many students.
