Mission: Research - Truth
"If you want to be free, there is but one way; it is to guarantee an equally full measure of liberty to all your neighbors. There is no other." - Carl Shurz
"The most important kind of freedom is to be what you really are. You trade in your reality for a role. You trade in your sense for an act. You give up your ability to feel, and in exchange, put on a mask. There can't be any large-scale revolution until there's a personal revolution, on and individual level. It's got to happen inside first. You can take away a man's political freedom and you won't hurt him- unless you take away his freedom to feel. That can destroy him. That kind of freedom can't be granted. Nobody can win it for you." –Jim Morrison
"There is danger from all men. The only maxim of a free government ought to be to trust no man living with power to endanger the public liberty." –John Adams
"I can't get no satisfaction, I can't get no satisfaction. 'Cause I try and I try and I try and I try.
I can't get no, I can't get no. When I’m drivin' in my car and that man comes on the radio. He's tellin' me more and more about some useless information supposed to fire my imagination. I can't get no, oh no no no. Hey hey hey, that's what I say." - The Rolling Stones
"Believe those who are seeking the truth; doubt those who find it." - Andre Gide
"Believe nothing just because a so-called wise person said it. Believe nothing just because a belief is generally held. Believe nothing just because it is said in ancient books. Believe nothing just because it is said to be of divine origin. Believe nothing just because someone else believes it. Believe only what you yourself test and judge to be true." –Buddha
The quest for truth and freedom is surely the struggle of life. In our own terms, everyday, we try to understand what it is to be human by creating our own definitions of truth and freedom for ourselves. We look for answers in entertainment, knowledge, power, work, money, family, love and literature. We look to the past and we look to the future. We travel and conquer and fight. But this gets us nowhere. What it means to be human is to fight, everyday, for your entire life. Fighting with each other and fighting against ourselves. We get nowhere and neither does the world. It is our greatest legacy, as humans, to try to find wisdom and peace but it is nowhere to be found on Earth.
"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.'" - John 14:6
There is but one book that has all the answers –the Bible. It lays out our history, our present and our future. It brings hope and meaning to our lives. It offers us a relationship with the very one who created us. It is the answer to the human struggle. Jesus is truth. He is freedom. He is peace. Unless we submit to his understanding, there will be no satisfaction in life.
