The following student report was submitted by Ambassador League Agent Kristina C. during the 2009-2010 League.

Mission: Tactics - Final Report

At the beginning of the year, I was fully prepared for the SSI Ambassador League challenge. Little did I know that it was going to be as challenging as it was. At the very start, I was doing well and keeping up, however, life set in as it often does. Soon I was having trouble keeping up with my full schedule. I was frantically trying to juggle several classes, college prep, a job, working on a campaign, soccer, piano, and various other extracurricular activities. SSI, for a while, took a backseat in my schedule. Soon, I was at the point of giving up, when I reread one of my favorite verses, "I can do ALL things through Christ who gives me strength." I knew that God wanted me to follow through with this program because I had committed myself to doing this and I knew this was challenging me not only mentally but spiritually. So, for the second time, I began the SSI Ambassador Program only with less time!

One of the greatest opportunities that came out of this program was developing a relationship with my mentor, who had at one point decided to run for County Commissioner. I learned more during my time campaigning and working with him then I would have during a school year. Without the Ambassador League, I probably would not be involved as much. In addition, during the campaign, I came in contact with people who are willing to help me become more involved. I learned so much during the experience, and for that, I am entirely thankful.

Throughout the year, I learned something extremely important about myself: I am a major procrastinator! Unlike school, SSI does not have strict deadlines therefore, allowing me to slack off. It was entirely up to me to decide when I was going to work on it. It was a constant struggle for me, but the hardships have definitely paid off. I have now recognized the problem and have been able to work through the challenge.

Another great outcome of this program was the Bible studies. At my own church, we often have "youth groups" or "Bible studies", but seldom do I actually pour over the pages of God to find his truth. Seldom do I try to connect matters of our society to the Bible. I often found myself sidetracked, reading on other topics then what I was originally researching! It definitely helped me find the time to open the Word of God more often.
