One of the chaperones told
me during the week that SSI was the most organized chaos they had ever experienced. That sums it up. We had four simulations (House, Senate,
Business and Media) all interacting together as a 'microcosm' of the real world. The young people were engaged in Caucus and Committee meetings,
investor presentations, press conferences and legislative debates on the house floor. The media students produced outstanding newspapers and
excellent news broadcasts that reported what the other tracks were doing as well as some fun special features. You can view the SSI Nightly

Feedback from first year students is always especially gratifying, since a number of them attend SSI with a healthy dose of skepticism - at
first. The responses on the evaluation forms at the end of the week reveal just how life-changing the SSI experience is for so many of them.
