OnSite Report

Plymouth Christian Academy, February 7-8, 2007

We just completed our 2nd annual On-Site at Plymouth Christian Academy! Dr. Marilyn Meel, Head of School at PCA said, "Truly, the SSI experience was a memorable one for our kids! I know that they have learned much and overcame BIG challenges in their perception of "I can't get up in front of people and speak." Thanks so much for all the hard work you and your team have put into this fantastic program. Anytime you need a recommendation, please don't hesitate to use my name."

Once again we were blessed to have a stellar group of community leaders, including Canton Township Clerk Terry Bennett, Plymouth Charter Township Supervisor Richard Reaume, Melissa O'rear who serves as an aide to Congressman Joe Knollenberg and Eric Bacyinski an aide to Wayne County Commissioner Laura Cox. We also were joined by two attorneys, three local businessmen, a local pastor and a politically aware mom! These volunteers and many others, who give of their valuable time and expertise, really helped make SSI a realistic learning experience for the students. For the second year in a row, we were also blessed to have the financial support of David Brandon, the Chairman and CEO of Domino's Pizza, who helped underwrite SSI at PCA.

The event was covered by The Plymouth Observer Newspaper resulting in a wonderful article prominently featured in the Sunday edition. Click here to read the article, or here for the newspaper photo gallery.
