Christian Leadership Academy, October 1-2, 2008
For our 7th Onsite Program of 2008, we travelled to Christian Leadership Academy in Troy, Michigan. Over the years, a number of CLA students have attended SSI during the summer. In fact, the daughter of the CLA Onsite Coordinator Debbie Buss attended SSI way back in 2001. This exciting event included 30 CLA students and 19 home school students. Our VIP’s included Tom McMillan, the former Mayor of Auburn Hills and a candidate for State Representative, Harry Veryser, Director of Graduate Economics at the University of Detroit Mercy, and a host of other professional men and women. We were also blessed to have some great volunteers, including the most active SSI promoter in Michigan, Fred Kummer, and one of our current Ambassador League students, Paul Powlison.
